About New Yen Ching Restaurant

Located at 6511 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA 95207, New Yen Ching Restaurant operates as a chinese restaurant serving Stockton in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–8 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (209) 957-0913. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 192 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Stockton and suggests consistent service.

Stockton is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Stockton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place was great. The waiter was awesome super attentive. The food was just what my taste buds were asking for. I got the twice cooked pork!!! My wife got the mongolian beef. Both were great. The plates were stacked and I should have took a togo box but it was so good. For 2 lunches with tip we were out the door for under $32.00 As you walk in you notice all the different pictures on the walls and the almost full wall width 3D mural can keep you busy as you wait for your food.

I got the lunch special Mongolian beef with rice. Mongolian beef was dry. There was barely any juice at all. It was just all right. China Bowl in Ripon way better. That is totally my to go place. But I wanted to try something different, unfortunately not a place I would say oh let’s go back. maybe to try something different πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

An acquaintance invited my husband and me here while we were staying in Stockton. There were seven of us, so we chose the dinner set menu for eight people (Set Menu E) for $160. The amount of food was very generousβ€”so much that we couldn’t finish everything with seven people. In hindsight, the appetizers weren’t really necessary. Overall, the food was just okay; nothing stood out enough to keep us reaching for more. We also ordered tea for two people, but it was extremely weak, almost like drinking hot water. The sizzling rice soup service was nice and probably the highlight of the meal. The restaurant itself had a pleasant atmosphere, and although there was only one male staff member, service was fine. That said, aside from the soup presentation, nothing was particularly memorable. Gratuity was included in the bill.

The restaurant is decorated inside. Food was decent 3 star. The server was nice since we were the only ones there for the entire time. Hard-working people .

First time here. The place is nice and food was good. Not the best we have had but good. We ordered the family meal for three and it came with sizzling rice soup, pot stickers, steamed rice, Mongolian beef, house chicken and prawns.we also ordered a side of pork chow mein. The soup was great with lots of different textures (mushrooms, shrimp, chicken, veggies, water chestnuts). The Mongolian beef and house chicken were really good! Crispy, bit spicy and good flavor. The prawns one of us liked but the rest of us didn't care for it...too much sauce for our taste. The chow mein was ok, simple. Pot stickers were good, not great. The service was average. The place was getting a bit hot and there was no air conditioning. Overall it was good we might come back again, if our go to spot is closed like today. We would give it a 3.5 overall. Total price was over $70 not including tip.
